About

S. Carey MFG was born from a simple belief: the things we use every day should be made with the same care as the things we intend to pass down.

We are a small, family rooted workshop in Pennsylvania, making leather goods by hand in the old tradition: one piece at a time, with honest materials, practical construction, and no interest in making something disposable.

Our work is shaped by the values we were raised on: family, faith, hard work, craftsmanship, and doing things right even when nobody is watching.

There is something meaningful about making things with your hands. Leather has a way of carrying the evidence of the work. It develops marks, darkens with use, and takes on the character of the person who carries it. We don't believe those things need to be hidden.

We're drawn to the old things for the same reason we're drawn to the old ways of making them. Heavy leather. Solid hardware. Hand-cut edges. Stitches that take time. Construction meant to have character.

Some of what we make is rugged and utilitarian. Some pieces are more refined and painstakingly made. And some are made specifically with the hope that they'll still be around decades from now. Carried by you today and, someday, by someone in your family.

Because the best things are made to remain.
